The Grandslayers are important scythes who run the World Scythe Council.
Description[]
There are seven Grandslayers, one for every continent: NorthMerica, SouthMerica, PanAsia, Africa, Australia, EuroScandia, and Antartica. The Grandslayers are led by the Supreme Blade, who is a Grandslayer elected by the other Grandslayers. Grandslayers are addressed as "Your Exalted Excellency".
History[]
The First Supreme Blade was Supreme Blade Prometheus.
In the earlier days of the Scythedom, the World Scythe Council eventually deemed the mortalborn purge to violate the Second Commandment and punished its perpetrators. Also, in the Year of the Stingray, it was said that any scythe imposters were to be gleaned on sight.
Supreme Blade Prometheus was the scythe that found out about the romance between Scythe Curie and Scythe Faraday. After they were brought before the Global Conclave, Prometheus saw fit to give them a less severe punishment due to the renowned skill and status of both scythes. He sentenced them to seven deaths (one for each year of their relationship). Then he forbade them from having contact with each other for the next seventy years.
Grandslayer Hemingway self-gleaned along with his underscythes the morning of January 8th, Year of the Raptor.
The Grandslayers were all killed by Scythe Goddard on the Year of the Raptor.[1]
